Indianhead Expedition Alaska Sport Fishing

Our Packages Include: Deluxe lodging, daily maid service, outstanding meals, daily guided fishing with experienced  sport fishing guides, lodge spin fishing equipment, unlimited local fishing and fish processing & freezing. 

Arrival & Departure

Rates are based on two persons per room and include everything you will need once you arrive, except: fishing license, lures, fly fishing equipment, flies, personal liquor, clothing, footwear and staff gratuities.  Fly fishing equipment is available on a rental basis from our fly & tackle shop.  Scheduled flights are available from Anchorage to Wildman.

Sunday to Sunday 7 days - 7 nights* -  Includes: meals & lodging,  three (3) days guided fly out fishing and four (4) days guided fishing via Jet Boat, and our Walrus Tour. $ 5,750.00
Partial Weeks: Partial Weeks are available during June and July only. Week long packages include 3 fly out fishing days. Price Per Person
Sunday to Thursday 4 days - 4 nights -  Includes: meals and lodging, one (1) day guided fly out sport fishing and three (3) days of guided sport fishing via Jet Boat, and Walrus Tour. $ 3,950.00
Thursday to Sunday 3 days - 3 nights -  Includes: meals & lodging, one (1) day of fully guided fly out fishing and two (2) days of guided sport fishing via Jet Boat from the lodge. $ 3,150.00

Sport Fishing Information Minimize

 

Fly Fishing Instruction:     Our sport fishing guides are all experienced fly fishermen. We have instructional videos at the lodge and plenty of casting area (shallow water and firm wading) just outside the lodge's back door. It is always best to learn to fly fish while you are catching fish at Wildman Lake Lodge. We have a good assortment of flies in the gift shop and also a fully stocked fly tying table right at the lodge; but, we will also send you a list of our most productive fly patterns when you book your trip. We strongly advocate catch and release of our native trout species; however, we will happily clean, bag and freeze your salmon limit.

 

Wild Rainbow Trout and colorful Arctic Char

Imagine an artesian river that runs crystal clear 365 days of the year, teeming with wild native Rainbow Trout, spring and fall Steelhead, Dolly Varden, Arctic Char and more Salmon than you can shake your fly rod at.  Enjoy unlimited fishing hours right outside your cabin door, seeing only those anglers with whom you shared the breakfast table. Wildman Lake Lodge is located right on one of the very finest sport fishing rivers in Alaska. Ocean River flows crystal clear and maintains the same water level year-round, so every day is a fishing day, no matter what the weather. A week at Wildman Lake Lodge also includes fly-out fishing during the summer Salmon season to provide even more variety and species to your sport fishing week.

 

Wild Steelhead - Spring & Fall

In our local, and a number of our nearby rivers, we get both spring and fall runs of wild Steelhead.  These scrappy sea run trout, return to only certain clear-water streams on the remote Alaska Peninsula to spawn in these icy cold and nutritious rivers.  This May and October fishery is for the adventurous angler who understands that occasionally high water or inclement spring and fall weather can occasionally keep us from fishing certain rivers on some days.  However, because of its clear-water artesian source, our home river is guaranteed  to be clear regardless of the early and late season weather.  Not available every year, group bookings are required to assure that we will open the camp early or late season for these runs.

Indianhead Expedition Alaska Hunt Lodge

Our lodge is located on the Alaska Peninsula approximately 500 air miles southwest of Anchorage, making us one of Alaska's most remote sport fishing lodges. We are a long ways away from the crowd but easy to get to, with turbo-prop Alaska Airlines commuter service operated by PenAir, right to our front door. We fish numerous clear-water streams which flow either into the Bering Sea or Pacific Ocean, from the Aleutian Mountains. Wildman Lake Lodge is far from the crowded fishing grounds of Bristol Bay and the Kenai Peninsula. Enjoy unlimited fishing hours with a beautiful clear-water artesian river flowing through the back yard.Indianhead Expeditions - Alaska Hunt and Sport Fishing

Our comfortable facility is designed to accommodate up to 16 guests per week.  Individual fisherman, fishing couples, families and corporate groups are all welcome at Wildman!  Accommodations include duplex style guest cabins.  Each cabin has carpeted floors, baseboard heat, comfortable beds with cozy comforters and a piping hot shower. Our lodge now has wireless internet available. Wildman Lake Lodge is situated right on the banks of Ocean River, a clear-water artesian river that is just full of Arctic char, dolly varden, rainbow trout and several Pacific salmon species.

Free Wi-Fi  Wildman now has an internet computer available for guest use, our you may wish to bring your laptop and receive our wireless satellite internet connection to check your personal email.

Your hostess         Kathy King, and her professional kitchen staff will treat you daily with delicious American fare featuring garden vegetables, homemade breads, steak, poultry, pastas and of course, "the catch of the day." Comfortable Guest Rooms, are very nicely appointed with knotty pine and Alaska decor.  Each guest room has a large  adjoining  bathroom with a piping hot shower.  The beds are very cozy with soft sheets and warm comforters.

Bathrooms with Shower:  Each of our guest cabins has a full bathroom and shower with plenty of piping hot water.  Daily maid service is provided for your comfort in our weekly sport fishing packages at Wildman.

Couples Guest Rooms:  We can make up your room with either twin or king size bedding for our visiting couples.  You will find that our cabins are clean, warm and comfortable with 24 hour-a-day power and hot water baseboard heat
