Incomparable big game hunting country, the Central African Republic owes its present reputation to the mythical Lord Derby Eland.

 

Our hunting areas near the Bamingui region are formed by a series of plains and plateaus covered by a bushy savannah interspersed with wooded galleries, home to the Bongos, Giant Forest Hogs, and Sitatungas.

 

The hunt is essentially devoted to tracking the Lord Derby Elands, Lions, Roan Antelopes, and Buffalos (Central African Savannah Buffalo), and several types of savannah antelopes.  In addition and also from the same camps, some forest game such as Bongo, Giant Forest Hog, Red River Hog, Yellow Backed Duiker, Blue Duiker, and Sitatunga can be hunted.

 

It is also possible to hunt Western Greater Kudus and Korrigums (Giant Topi) in the Northern part of our areas.

 

Superior accommodation is provided in very comfortable bungalows.

 

Hunting season: from the beginning of January to the end of May.

 

Hunting quota per type of hunt:

-7 days safari quota per hunter: 2 Buffalos, 1 Harnessed Bushhuck, 1 Yellow Backed Duiker, 1 Blue Duiker, 1 Red Flanked Duiker, 1 Western Bush Duiker, 1 Oribi, 1 Red River Hog, 1 Warthog.

 

-13 days safari quota per hunter:  each hunter additionally selects one animal for the following list:  Lord Derby Eland, Lion, Leopard, Western Greater Kudu, Bongo, Giant Forest Hog, Sitatunga.

 

-20 days safari quota per hunter:  each hunter additionally selects two animals for the following list:  Lord Derby Eland, Lion, Leopard, Western Greater Kudu, Bongo, Giant Forest Hog, Sitatunga.

 

-27 days safari quota per hunter:  each hunter additionally selects three animals for the following list:  Lord Derby Eland, Lion, Leopard, Western Greater Kudu, Bongo, Giant Forest Hog, Sitatunga.

 

-Available on request:  Roan Antelope, Korrigum, Sing Sing Waterbuck, Lelwel Hartebeest, Western Kob,m and Bohor Reedbuck.

The price of the safari includes:

  • Meet and greet plus assistance at Bangui airport
  • Transfer from Bangui to the hunting area and back by charter plane
  • The organizing of your safari with 4x4 vehicles, professional hunters, trackers, porters, skinners
  • Full board accommodation and drinks at the hunting camp
  • The loan of a rifle with scope if necessary (375 H&H Mag, …)
  • Field preparation of trophies

The price of the safari does not include:

  • Any air fare or travel costs to Bangui
  • Trophy fees (see below)
  • Community development tax (15% on the amount of trophy fees)
  • Hunting permit and fire arms importation license (800 Euros per hunter)
  • Packing and forwarding charges of trophies (1 000 Euros per hunter)
  • Hotel and meals costs at Bangui (if needed)
  • Insurances costs
  • Visa fees, ammunitions, personal spending money and tips
