Mountain Lion - Desert Mule Deer - Pronghorn - Alpine, Texas Minimize

Alpine, Texas is a 3 hour drive West of Indianhead Ranch. The area could be described as a huge plateau surrounded by high Mountains. You will be staying in a motel in Alpine, where your guide will pick you up every morning. The hunting is done on private-owned lands, throughout the Trans-Pecos Mountains and South Texas brush country.

  

Mountain Lion Hunts Minimize

5 Day Hunt $3,175 deposit, $2,000 due upon kill

(In the event a lion is not taken you may return for another five day hunt for $500 hunt fee)

Season: September - April before and after it gets too dry for the dogs to trail the lion.

Average Size: 6-8 feet (about 1.83-2.44m).

The lion hunts are conducted on privately owned land throughout the Trans-Pecos mountains and South Texas brush country. In most cases the hunt site will depend upon reports from ranchers of lion predation of livestock and game animals. Mountain lion hunts are conducted with dogs (Hounds) that you will follow on foot. The dogs are used in trailing and in baying the Mountain Lion on cliffs or in trees.
